Is pub culture a necessary evil?

India is famous for its cultural heritage and diverse civilizations. But as time goes we have fused modernity with our divine inherent culture. Over the past few decades we have been getting accustomed to technological changes and historical inflexion points which have changed the image and self-images of men and society, spawned new art, literature, cinema and politics, all of which add up to what is bandied as culture. Through evolution of society, historical events, discovery of new lands, scientific inventions and birth of new religions culture has changed.

Nowadays youngsters are visiting pubs which has increased the rates of accidents due to drunken driving. In India, 40 per cent of road accidents are alcohol-related. There is also a study which says that in the last five to six years there is an increase of 60 per cent among the youth who have taken to drinking. Pub culture is against Indian ethos. Drinking habit not only spoils their own health but causes sickness in family which in turn results in the disintegration of a fine tuned family and exposing them to poverty since they spend most of their income in pubs and bar. Instead by curbing drinking habits he could lead a very happy and peaceful life .

So why take a poison too much that might become lethal to our own life. Women can socialize with men in workplace and can have good relationship with their colleagues but women having pub culture and illegal relationship with others not only spoil their own career but their happiness in family. All worship women as God , So why do some women spoil this name and bring disgrace to the whole women society.

So nip the bud of pub culture and keep the traditions and culture of India always intact.

WHY EMPLOYEES LEAVE ORGANISATIONS ?

Every company faces the problem of people leaving the company for better
pay or profile.

Early this year, Arun, a senior software designer, got an offer from a prestigious international firm to work in its India operations developing specialized software. He was thrilled by the offer.

He had heard a lot about the CEO. The salary was great. The company had all the right systems in place employee-friendly human resources (HR) policies, a spanking new office, and the very best technology, even a canteen that served superb food.

Twice Arun was sent abroad for training. "My learning curve is the sharpest it's ever been," he said soon after he joined. Last week, less than eight months after he joined, Arun walked out of the job.

Why did this talented employee leave ? Arun quit for the same reason that drives many good people away. The answer lies in one of the largest studies undertaken by the Gallup organization. The study surveyed over a million employees and 80,000
managers and was published in a book called "First Break All The Rules". It came up with this surprising finding:
If you're losing good people, look to their immediate boss. Immediate boss is the reason people stay and thrive in an organization. And he 's the reason why people leave. When people leave they take knowledge, experience and contacts with them, straight to the competition.

"People leave managers not companies," write the authors Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman. Mostly manager drives people away? HR experts say that of all the abuses, employees find humiliation the most intolerable. The first time, an employee may not leave, but a thought has been planted. The second time, that thought gets strengthened. The third time, he looks for another job.
When people cannot retort openly in anger, they do so by passive aggression. By digging their heels in and slowing down. By doing only what they are told to do and no more. By omitting to give the boss crucial information. Dev says: "If you work for a jerk, you basically want to get him into trouble. You don 't have your heart and soul in the job."

Different managers can stress out employees in different ways - by being too controlling, too suspicious, too pushy, too critical,or just by being a complete a--, but they forget that workers are not fixed assets, they are free agents . When this goes on too long, an employee will quit - often over a trivial issue. Talented men leave. Dead wood does'nt.

The best way is to have a good and open communication between the employer and the employees and when an employer caters to the need of the employee, you are a sure shot success. The problem is when every demand of the employee is turned down in the name of company policy and having some intermediary who is good at making stories. Running away like a coward instead of clearing out the issues and taking one sided decisions will work only till recession lasts.

As Jack Welch of GE once said, “A company's value lies between the ears of its employees".

Yawn and feel a sense of togetherness!!

  • When a person yawns, he equalizes the pressure in his middle ear. This causes a small, localised pressure change around him, which affects others in the vicinity - and therefore they have to yawn to equalize the pressure in their own middle ears.
  • The control center for yawning in the brain sends signals for yawn on identifying fatigue, inertia, sleepiness or boredom. When we see somebody yawning this visual hint stimulates our brain to identify our own tiredness etc. if it has not already done and to send signal to lungs for yawning – and there it is! Yawn…!
  • We often become afraid when we see someone else showing fear. We laugh because everyone around us is laughing. We yawn because someone around us is yawning!!!

Paavam Paavam Raamettan

A happy news to all humour lovers; after the end of mandoos we have got a very promising talent in Ramettan. Ramettan is the handsome chronic bachelor of Mquest villa ruled by the ever shouting Madam M.

Ramettan has looks of kamalhaasan (if kamal plays a psychologist), the guts of Vikram (only that of Ambi from Annyan),and the character of again kamalhaasan( from thennali).

Ramettan is the one of senior most residents of Mquest villa along with Chengannoori and Kollamkaran.

The innocence of Ramettan has lead him to be a tool in the hands of many. Ramettan is a blast from the past as he should have been born at the time of mahabali (when there was no cheating or lying by men and all were good ).

Ramettan is well known for his simple jokes that make the office lively and is really a sweet and loving person who has let me write this without showing any super egoisms. Most of the incidents happen when he innocently tries to help someone, which mostly helps everyone to a good laugh.

So ,on that note wait for the upcoming hilarious comedies from Ramettan, the Rameettan stories:

1 Ramettan and the tall chair

2. Rametan and the automatic AC.

3. Car parking Ramettan

4.Ramettan’s bike

5 Historian Ramettan?

6 Olli vayil Ramettan.

7.Rametan and NewYear Time sheet.

8. Go shopping with Ramettan.

9.Ramettan’s specs stories .

10.Katrina kaif and Ramettan and so on

So fasten your seat belts , the Ramettan series is coming. When will Ramettan find Seetha chechi?

Will Ramettan …..?What Ramettan….? Why Ramettan……….? Find out!

A bit of logic...

If your father is a poor man, it is your fate but, if your father-in-law is a poor man, it’s your stupidity.

Behind every successful man, there is a woman and behind every unsuccessful man, there are two.

“Your future depends on your dreams” So better go to sleep!

“Work fascinates me” I can look at it for hours!!

Practice makes perfect….. But nobody’s perfect…… So why practice?

When women go wrong, men go RIGHT after them.

Every man should marry. After all, happiness is not the only thing in life.

“A foolish man tells a woman to stop talking, but a wise man tells her that her mouth is extremely beautiful when her lips are closed”

I’ve had bad luck with both my wives. The first one left me and the second one didn’t. – Patrick Murray (British actor).

New Year Resolution

A new year is a good time to leave behind the past and reflect on what's ahead, and perhaps make some big decisions. There’s a saying, “If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time.” It's true, which makes setting New Year's resolutions a very sensible activity. Nothing could be accomplished in one day and therefore setting Resolutions should be nothing more than the starting point. Life has a funny way of throwing unexpected things at us, and flexibility is required to tackle the difficult times ahead. The simple rule is that – don’t expect too much. Things that will make you a better human being and help you lead a more comforting life should be made the New Year resolutions. The bottom line is that – change for the better in the coming year!

“Then give to the world the best you have, and the best will come back to you.” Madeline Bridges, from Life's Mirror
