Is pub culture a necessary evil?

India is famous for its cultural heritage and diverse civilizations. But as time goes we have fused modernity with our divine inherent culture. Over the past few decades we have been getting accustomed to technological changes and historical inflexion points which have changed the image and self-images of men and society, spawned new art, literature, cinema and politics, all of which add up to what is bandied as culture. Through evolution of society, historical events, discovery of new lands, scientific inventions and birth of new religions culture has changed.

Nowadays youngsters are visiting pubs which has increased the rates of accidents due to drunken driving. In India, 40 per cent of road accidents are alcohol-related. There is also a study which says that in the last five to six years there is an increase of 60 per cent among the youth who have taken to drinking. Pub culture is against Indian ethos. Drinking habit not only spoils their own health but causes sickness in family which in turn results in the disintegration of a fine tuned family and exposing them to poverty since they spend most of their income in pubs and bar. Instead by curbing drinking habits he could lead a very happy and peaceful life .

So why take a poison too much that might become lethal to our own life. Women can socialize with men in workplace and can have good relationship with their colleagues but women having pub culture and illegal relationship with others not only spoil their own career but their happiness in family. All worship women as God , So why do some women spoil this name and bring disgrace to the whole women society.

So nip the bud of pub culture and keep the traditions and culture of India always intact.

GIRL CHILD – BOON OR CURSE!

God gave life to nature. Each and every birth of life springs happiness to all- a sapling growth, blooming of flower, sight of stars, sun rise in early morning, rain droplets and so on. Each and every thing in nature brings joy within ourselves, but why not the birth of girl child. Child is a boon of god and only some are blessed with it, then why abortion and female foeticide if results turns out to be a girl. Girl child is a form of Goddess Lakshmi . She grows up not only to be a loving mother but loving daughter, caring wife, sister , daughter in law and so on …. She holds multiple avatars.
Girl child becomes a curse when she defames the family name by causing her parents to get distressed and dowry deaths. Womanhood is very precious, so why not maintain it. We go through newspapers that a minor girl was raped, subjected to sexual harassment and murdered for sex. The ultimate sufferer is woman. So let the eternal bless everyone with child. Let us pray to god that all crimes against women should be reduced and make our future world prosperous.

IT HAPPENS

World is a beautiful place to live in. God gave men the right of reasoning. From the birth of human race there have been a lot of inventions and discoveries. There has been growth in every stage of human civilizations. There has been war and peace. Man wants to live in harmony but the world has witnessed lot of agonies, pain and sufferings. Everyone wants the day to be good, but the lust for money, land, power and sexual desires has left the world shatter into pieces.

Every day we witness, read and hear about criminal stories. Mans desire is never ending, so too the crime. What is the use of having law and order when there is no individual principles and identity? “Idle mans brain is Devils workshop”, so think of good things and execute it. We as an individual can contribute good memories in daily routine and make the society a better place to live in. “Unity is Strength”. So be cool, be happy and everything happens as it happens… Keep the days going….

6 reasons outsourcing can't be stopped

US seems to be witnessing a sudden surge in `economic nationalism'. In the country which preached the world benefits of free trade, the demand for protectionism is getting louder. The pains of turbulent economy is making many Americans target outsourcing. Giving his first speech to a joint session of the US Congress, the county's president Barack H Obama said, “We will restore a sense of fairness and balance to our tax code by finally ending the tax breaks for corporations that ship our jobs overseas.” India Inc has expressed concern over Obama's populist statement. The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) expressed concern over the statement saying "protectionist measures could deteriorate the situation further".

However, the big question is that in this era of globalisation, is it possible for large corporations to compete globally without outsourcing. No, say experts. So, here's looking into six reasons that make analysts believe why outsourcing cannot be stopped.

  • Due to the recession, there is immense pressure on organisations to sustain their margins and re-examine their cost structures. This has become imperative for the medium-term survival of many organisations. Offshoring is one of the most proven strategies to optimise costs. US firms have been pioneers in offshoring both in the services and manufacturing space, resulting in enhanced competitiveness in the global arena.
  • The role of outsourcing in enhancing the competitiveness of American corporations is widely acknowledged. This, in turn, has replaced many of the jobs that outsourcing took away in the first place. A move to curtail outsourcing will adversely impact the competitiveness of organisations setting up operations in the US.
  • The impact of eliminating tax breaks for US companies will also depend on the scale of their outsourcing. Many companies have been outsourcing for decades and for them the cost-benefit of continued offshoring might outweigh the additional taxes payable.
  • Protecting jobs and creating disincentives for outsourcing are natural responses to the economic crisis that America is facing today. However, this simplistic solution may be detrimental to the leadership position of the US. Studies by firms like McKinsey have shown that outsourcing has led to economic advantage to the US. The protectionist policies during the Depression of the 1930s actually delayed America's revival. A move that starts with protecting service jobs and possibly goes on to protecting manufacturing jobs with import tariffs and a `Buy American' campaign can only lead the world into similar reactions that will impact global demand for American products.
  • Several experts believe that this is all part of old Washington rhetoric as there is really no direct tax incentive awarded to US companies who transfer jobs to other countries. According to them (as told to Philippine-based BusinessWorld), what the US tax code has is a decades-old provision that allows American companies to defer income tax payments on offshore profits until they are repatriated back home, and Obama wants to eliminate this.
  • According to Dina R Salonga, Philippine Software Industry Association director (as told to Philippine-based BusinessWorld) outsourcing growth would be difficult to stem. He said that even if Obama's plan materialises, it will still be a matter of economics, like [opening in cations] where companies can save more. He feels that there are several considerations for this business to stop, not just tax breaks.

People Are Often Unreasonable

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may just never be enough;
Give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it's all between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Small things does matter

Very often good intentions break down, because it requires too much of an effort for its realization. When we are posed with dozens of problems, we normally get scattered and most likely would frown on it. Often, we feel that we can roll up the mountains. It’s a great mood that, undoubtedly, will help one to achieve a lot in life. But we should remember that we are human beings, and not a machine, and we cannot seize the unbounded. So, better avoid burdening our self with impossible amount of things to do, no matter how important they could seem at the first instance. Therefore, it is better to first estimate our potential capability objectively, and delay the things that we cannot do now. Otherwise, a weight of everyday small problems will prevent us from realization of most important ones.

atleat once in your life time...

Unrealistic expectations

A large part of the frustration that most of us experience in life is due to unrealistic expectations. We often expect too much of life in general, and of other people in particular. By expecting too much, we just drive ourselves crazy. We keep saying that other people "should" be a certain way. They should be more considerate, more competent, more open-minded, more helpful, more sensible, etc. But people don't behave the way they "should." They behave the way they are. The sooner we accept this and learn to live with it, the less stressed out we'll be.

Love

"Love is a state of mind in which the happiness of someone else becomes essential to your own happiness." - Robert A. Heinlein.

Everybody loves somebody sometimes. But while love can make one immensely happy, it has also caused more broken hearts, pain and misery than anything else. When we love someone and that person does not return our love, we hurt. When a relationship is severed because we can't live together the way we hoped or expected to, we hurt. When we trust someone and find our trust abused, we hurt. In a way, it all comes down to expectation. We expect (or at least hope) that the needs of somebody else will be compatible with our own. And we're frequently disappointed. And that can hurt.

So to avoid being hurt, one should realize that Love should create no need, no obligation, and certainly no demands. Your love for someone should be just that - love…nothing beyond.
